FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • It depends on the program you’re applying to, but we try to make it as easy as possible. We need information about your plans, and we try to do everything else:

    1. You sign up (pay the application deposit).

    2. We send you full details and the application materials, including templates we have built from successful applications.

    3. We do a call to learn about your project, (or you add your information to the templates), and you can ask any questions you have.

    4. We make a first draft, go through and make edits and comments, ask follow-up questions, and do everything else we can to improve the application.

    5. Together, we refine the documents until everyone is happy with the application.

    6. We upload all materials to the portal on the FACTOR website.

    7. You have a chance to review everything and confirm all looks good.

    8. We submit!

  • It depends on the program, but generally, the approval process involves:

    1. Reviewing and signing your contract with the funder

    2. Submitting your bank account details to receive the first payment

    3. Understanding your completion requirements (e.g. eligible and ineligible expenses, acknowledging the funder, invoices and proof of payments, etc.)

    4. Executing your project within the rules of the program

    5. Submitting the required documentation (e.g. invoices, proof of payments for FACTOR grants)

We help with all aspects of the approval process, which are included in our fees (unless otherwise stated).

  • Our pricing is flexible and depends on the type of grant and scope of work.

In most cases, there is an up-front application fee that ranges from $150–$299 per application. If you’re applying for multiple grants for the same project, we offer a 25% discount on the entire up-front fee. Sometimes we will waive the up-front fee entirely, for example for FACTOR Tour Support and Showcase applications.

In addition to the up-front fee, Grantable charges a commission on successful grants (a percentage of the funding awarded - typically 15% including tax but it also depends on the project). This ensures we’re invested in helping you succeed, and keeps our services affordable up front. the up-front fee is always included in the commission. So 15% of funding is the most you would ever pay on a successful grant.

Since every grant and project is different, we’re happy to provide a free, no-obligation quote once we know more about your situation and project plans.
